Hi!

I'm Laimani Bidali

You have gifts to share with the world and my job is to help you get them out there.

I know when people look at you and I, they think, she is so confident! She is so strong!

Yet deep inside we don’t always feel that way. We are sort of taking it all in our stride. Pulling ourselves together, putting on some lipstick, jumping into some block high heels, sucking in our tummy (with the assistance of spanks of course) and showing up – at the podium or at the table, courageously.

“Leave safety behind. Put your body on the line. Stand before the people you fear and speak your mind--even if your voice shakes. When you least expect it, someone may actually listen to what you have to say. Well-aimed slingshots can topple giants.” --Maggie Kuhn

Kuhn in German means bold or audacious.

*Maggie Kuhn (August 3, 1905 – April 22, 1995) was an American activist known for founding the Gray Panthers movement, after she was forced to retire from her job at the then-mandatory retirement age of 65. The Gray Panthers became known for advocating nursing home reform and fighting ageism, claiming that "old people and women constitute America's biggest untapped and undervalued human energy source." *See source below

“Leave safety behind

Why are we not living authentic lives? Because we want to be safe. We want to stay in the harbor where there are no storms and strong winds. WE are business experts who will boldly rebrand and reposition our businesses and products, but tremble at the thought of redefining, rebranding, repositioning ourselves. If in our second act we are going to show up authentically, express our trust selves, work and live in alignment to our goals and dreams, honor and respect our deepest values and ideals, then we must leave the harbor and courage it imperfectly.

Put your body on the line

I don’t take this to be just the physical body, but the physical definitions of you. Your degrees, your job title, the castle you have built, your reputation, your associations, your perks, your comfort zone. Yes, how they have always described you as “careful and together “you must now risk being described as “it’s just so unlike her”, and accept that as your highest compliment!

In progressive woman we have this mantra; “start where you are, and keep progressing imperfectly!”
